Moving from Inclusion to Belonging

What is the difference between being included and truly belonging? When someone is included, space is made for them to be present. When someone belongs, they are fully a part of all activities, have personal interactions/connections and are fully known. They are sought out, welcomed. They are loved like the Skin Horse in the nursery of storybook fame. Living with a disability can be isolating. Raising a child with a disability can be isolating. God did not intend this. He inteded us to belong, as shown in Galations 3:28 and Romans 15:7. Psalm 68:6 tells us that God sets the lonely (isolated) in families. What greater family is there than the family of God in the local church?
